چکیده
The most widely used glass-ceramic is lithium disilicate (LD) because of its remarkable optical qualities, high strength, and simplicity manufacture. Greater marginal reduced porosity, net-shaped manufacturing by pressing are further benefits LD. development yttrium stabilized trigonal zirconia polycrystalline (Y-TZP) ceramics the result pursuit for a material with both mechanical capabilities, like resistance provided metallic restoration, distinctive characteristics glass-ceramic. main drawback fragile veneering ceramics, which prone to chipping, debonding, breakage. There evidence that extrinsic variables such beverages, mouthwashes, acid solutions, dental brushing, increased temperatures might cause ceramic surfaces deteriorate. composition surface shape materials have an impact on pigment absorption or adsorption from oral cavity. causes clinical replacement anterior restorations, according prior research, poor color matching instabilities. Monolithic more staining chlorhexidine, green tea, coffee. In monolithic zirconia, aging-related changes pronounced. background substructure influences how restorations look overall. terms stability translucency, LD has also been proven be aesthetically pleasing. comparison bilayer feldspar displayed discoloration It noted susceptible low-temperature degradation than core Y-TZP. use current literature infer outcomes several limitations in vitro investigations, thermocycling carried out water rather cavity saliva influence sunlight exposure, salivary proteins, food coloring, tobacco, different enzymes, surface-related factors yet examined.
